Will any non-stoners be voting “yes” on Proposition 19 (marijuana legalization) in California?
I’ll bet not. It’s a joke. It’s nothing more than a survey to determine if there are more voters who are stoners or non-stoners.

Actually, you should do some research. Making marijuana illegal costs the state millions in sentencing, jail terms, prosecutions and fills up the prisons with people who don’t need to be there. In many cases it starts young people out on a life of crime as it is their introduction to the justice system. The problems in California aren’t nearly as bad as they were as marijuana has become less criminalized, but it still remains an issue and costs people their jobs, their property and other livelihoods. Also, because of our insane 3 strikes law, having more than a certain minimum of marijuana could put you away for the rest of your life.
This is not a joke. In other states people spend *years* behind bars for simple marijuana possession.
A better question is, why are stoners smarter than you?
It will bring in hundreds of millions in taxes, save the state hundreds of millions in prison/enforcement costs, and it’s not anymore dangerous than alcohol.
The only reason to be against it is a lame “those darn hippies” mentality.
hows that stick up your butt feel?
Oh yeah, I don’t smoke – never have.
whats a joke is that the government thinks they should be able to levy a 50 dollar a ounce tax on the weed. unfair burden on the smokers once again. and it will still be cheaper to by weed from the black market
so in some ways your right it is a bad law
but by design only
good intent
I would think all Libertarians would, as should all Republican’s that believe in personal liberty.
I’m a non-stoner here, and will definitely bet voting yes on Prop 19. I vote fiscally, and there is no doubt in my mind whatsoever that the CA economy will improve as a result of this bill passing. I’ll vote for anything basically that will improve the dismal state of our CA economy.
