It is a big issue. I personally appose it because I don’t think we should live in a nation where it is OK to get drugged and walk around stoned. Unless of course it serve for medical purposes.

they want pot to be legalized because they don’t see the harm it creates… Let me tell you, my father was never a good father because of his drug and alcohol use.
because they end up locking up a lot of kids and ruining their lives. Practically half the population smokes this stuff – and that goes for 1/2 the cops. Keeping it illegal is just plain stupid. But mostly it’s so hard on a lot of kids who end up in prisons for not doing much of anything.

We would prefer not to see our health care dollars quadruple over the next 20 years. Most people have never read a SINGLE research study on the effects of THC on the body , long term.
Yes alcohol and nicotine are legal. We have our lessons on those and don’t want to add a third hazard to the mix.

There’s no reason not to legalize it. Alcohol and cigarettes are probably more dangerous, and we’ve legalized those. Prohibition doesn’t work, as the early 1900s showed us. Crime rates would drop, and the government could tax it which might put a tiny dent in the overwhelming debt.
You already live in a nation that gets stoned and walks around.
For me, it’s a matter of principle. I wouldn’t smoke it (I don’t even smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol), but any nation that tells its citizens what they may and may not do to or put in their own bodies is a nation that does not truly respect individual rights. Your personal feelings about drugs are not an excuse to take liberty away from me.
people want weed to be legalized because they think that its unfair that drinking or smoking are worth then doing weed put they aren’t illegal also they want to get high without having to deal with police or being caught

Because they use drugs from pharmacies and want a connection to marijuana. I think this is who they are because a real marijuana user would want a way to not get caught and freely use it and not want taxation of it and the Govt controlling it’s sale. People who claim to be over weight for example and want diet pills, patients on Demerol but also referred to as a fast-acting opioid analgesic drug. In the United States and Canada, it is more commonly known as meperidine or by its brand name Demerol is a substitute for Heroin
