where do people that are prescribed marijuana for medical purposes get it from?
i highly doubt pharmacies carry it
i’m just wondering ’cause i cant imagine someone walking up to a pharmacist and asking him for 5 ounces of pot

Are you asking this out of curiosity? Or are you trying to get some? I have no idea!!
Well we all know Black Steve is our pharmacist round here, he’s got all that stuff in his house, maybe the doctor here sends his patients there, hmm.
I guess it depends on were you live. Were I live there are shops that sell medical marijuana.
I have wondered the same thing myself. If marijuana is being prescribed as a drug, why aren’t doctors the ones prescribing it? And then why wouldn’t people be able to fill their prescriptions at a pharmacy?
The answer is that buying and selling marijuana is still illegal according to the federal government. That is why no honest doctor wants to touch it. Their license isn’t worth getting in trouble with feds.
When this law was drafted the practices of dispensing this drug should have come under question. But, no, it was given over to the street. Ridiculous.
Now, I will not object if someone needs a certain drug for their illness. I would never get in the way of what they need to ease their symptoms.
I do object that it was passed so quickly without being under the auspices of the legitimate medical profession. I mean who are these people dispensing marijuana? Where do they get their licenses? They have to get this drug from somewhere.
Isn’t it obvious the whole thing was handled in an underworld way? It stands to reason that illegal activity is involved.
Keep in mind I said that I would never deny someone the right to a needful drug. I just oppose the way in which it is dispensed.
If the state has them set up, there are medical marijuana dispensories. The card specifies how much the patient can have, and the dispensory sells that much to them.
In most places, the medical card gives you the right to grow a certain number of plants (I think a common number is 3-5).
Pharmacies arent carying medical marijuana, but they do carry the fda/ama/big pharma rip off synthetic thc knock off pill called marinol. Of course, it costs like 50 times what real marijuana costs, and doesnt work as well, but…
If medical marijuana were legal federally, there would be no reason why regular pharmacies wouldnt be able to carry it. However, until then, they cant.
