I’m in pa. and all you need is a tax # I use my own name for my bus. that way you don’t have to open a bus acct at a bank, make sure your tax # is on you at all times cause if you buy wholesale, with a tax # you don’t pay tax on items you buy for your bus. but you charge tax on jewelry you sell to customers. keep good records, for filing your income tax.

They offer advice on this type of thing, and I beleive that if you sell by their methods no paperwork is required except 2 memorandums registering your business (of you want to, that is) and copyright/trademarking/patenting. Agin, this is all optional, but stores are more likely to buy from you if you are legitimate, i.e. they are aware that you have patents on your designs and therefore they are assured that your jewelry will not be created by a rivalling company.
