If he has a medical marijuana card I believe its three to six plants.
If he’s trying to grow it otherwise then it’s illegal.
In november there will be prop 19 introduced to make it legal to adults 21 and older to smoke and have marijuana up to an ounce.
Vote yes!
Unfortunately, there is no set answer to this question. Under the law, someone with a medical marijuana prescription is entitled to have in their possession a “reasonable” amount for personal use. However, the law has not defined how much is considered “reasonable” and attempts by the legislature to clearly define an amount have been struck down.
medically i don’t no, but if California legalizes it this November it is not a max number of plants, but a maximum area that it can be planted in.
