you can smoke all yo want just don’t get caught
drugs such as marijuana are legal in Amsterdam. you can order it at a bar
It’s legal to smoke it, and illegal to sell it on the streets. “Coffee” shops or “SMART” shops can sell it in small quantities legally. You have to look for the green, yellow, and red stickers that say SMART on them, on the doors to the shop. You can also get ‘shrooms in some of these shops. You can smoke as much as you want in the SMARTshops, and I even saw people smoking in the streets. Weed is not hard to come by in the netherlands, or in Europe for that matter, so marijuana distribution is not condemned as much as in the states. They do condemn the use of harsher drugs such as coke and heroin, etc. I even met a guy from Spain that told me most of European laws allow you to have a plant for personal use.
Sex, drugs and rock and roll in old Amsterdam.
Who needs New York City?
I suggest you watch Pulp Fiction.
Vince Vega lays it all out pretty flat in the first 10 minutes.
Regardless of what ‘Aspen’ claims – drugs are NOT legal in Holland / Amsterdam.
They are tolerated, and the police is not actively chasing (soft) drugs. Weed and Hash are ‘common’ like tobacco, but in case of severe disturbance, you can be charged for it.
Although this rarely ever happens.
You are ‘allowed’ to have small amounts for personal use , and the sale of softdrugs in ‘coffeeshops’ is also tolerated – as long as they don`t sell to minors (they can ask for ID).
