What do I need to do to get marijuana legalized in Canada!?
For the last 3 years I have done extensive research on the topic of marijuana. I see posters, commercials, parents, churches all advocating against this “dangerous” drug. After a lot of research I have concluded it is sheer propaganda. I have a response to almost every myth or question I have received about the matter and I’ve had enough. The economical and social benefits to this plant are unfathomable and I want to take it on to me as the next generation of voters to GET THIS LEGALIZED.
I want to know what steps or procedures I need to take in order to advertise and what I need to do to discuss with higher authority. Are there any national groups invested in making sure this is legalized. With a new election around the corner how can I talk to our leaders and make this a hot topic for them to be elected. Any help or support is appreciated.

Marijuana is a dangerous drug and should not be legalized. It can severely impair people’s thinking for potentially long periods of time, and in some cases leads to psychosis. In my opinion it should not be legalized.
In most of Canada, it is already legal.

Turn 18 in the next 18 days and vote for the party in your riding most likely to beat the Conservatives. That’s the best chance you can give Canada at legalized marijuana. The NDP and Liberals are fairly soft on marijuana, and the Greens have an express policy platform statement that they would decriminalize, regulate, tax, and discourage the public from abusing it (much like we do for alcohol and tobacco). It will be a cold day in Harper’s basement when the Tories support legalization, however.
You can support me. I am the Independent Candidate for Mississauga South, and a Capitalist. This is one obvious example of how a Capitalist differs from a Conservative. I believe in individual Liberty, and freedom of choice. Every one of us will march through our own lives looking for our own answers. I don’t have any interest in smoking (pot, or tobacco, unless it’s a cigar on a nice summer night); however I stand and am running for election on the proposition that Government needs to get out of our lives. [I am further able to be differentiated from a Conservative on the topics of abortion and gay rights, but that’s another story]. See my website, http://www.capitalistparty.ca – I wish us all luck
