People want to get high legally.

The main and most important reason is Freedom , personal choice. People are allowed to drink , smoke etc. and do tons of stuff that is not good for them which affects no one else

it does less damage to you than alcohol does and alcohol is obviously legal
and you cant get addicted to weed you may really want to smoke it but you’re not going to have withdraws without it
alcohol and other drugs on the other hand can be addicting
also it does little damage to the lungs
cigarettes and other tobacco products have a much higher lung risk damage but of course cigarettes are obviously legal as well

Economic value. with marijuana legalized it opens an entire new market. you will have a new crop for farmers or new pot planters. someone has to manufacture a product box and distribute it. drug dealers that only sold marijuana would loose business which could at first inflate drug crime till it is controlled and then prisons would lighten up from one less source of sentencing. people that give their money to the illegal dealer will now be giving it to a legal system stimulating the economy.

Because it’s a victimless crime, no one is hurt, not even yourself. List the reasons that marijuana can be helpful to your body and also tell them that no one has ever died because of marijuana.
