honestly it is a smack on the wrist. a 2-300$ ticket and maybe community service not much 40 hrs. if you are caught with more then an ounce you will go to jail it will be alot worse
Smoking = possession, and possession is just a fine.
Being under the influence of marijuana in California is ordinarily not a crime. If you are driving and the drug impairs you, it would be DUI. If you are in public and the drug causes you to be so intoxicated that you cannot care for yourself, it’s public intoxication.
