It’s harmless — so let’s give it to infants and pregnant women. If it is such a harmless plant, then no one would be concerned.
It’s harmless — so let’s let people use it whenever and where they want — at work, at school, running government, operating aircraft, fighting wars. it’s just a harmless plant.
It’s harmless — so let’s put into the food supply whether you want it or not. It is just harmless plant. We can use it like fillers such as soy.
Legal argument.
There isn’t a constitutional right to be stoned.
@Isurvived: telling someone who operates aircraft or giving it to a child is not a good thing to talk about in a debate. all the other person has to compare it to is alcohol and you will lose everyones interest.
You have to look at it through the eyes of a pot smoker not a member of MADD. The passing of prop 19 would of hurt the legalization movement of marijuana across America more than it would of helped it. Proposition 19 isn’t really legalization. It only allows possession of up to one ounce of cannabis. Under current California law, an ounce or less of pot is a simple civil infraction — you CAN’T be arrested, you DON’T go to court, and you WON’T get a criminal record. Prop 19 doesn’t make any improvements to decriminalization or prop 215. Prop 19 creates several new cannabis related crimes with extremely severe penalties. Don’t pass a joint to a 17 year old, you will be looking at a max of 7 years in state prison. Prop 19 is solely designed to allow large scale cannabis production by politically connected corporations. Oakland has already started the process to license a Prop 19 Cartel mega-grow. Most legal experts agree that Prop 19 is poorly written and will leave police and judges to enforce it at their discretion. For example, consuming cannabis would be illegal in the same “space” as a minor. Police and judges are free to interpret the word “space” to mean the same room, house, or entire apartment complex. There is no need to rush into a law that will be difficult to change. There are better full legalization laws, including one set to be on the ballot in 2012. There are 5 more reasons that are not stated above in the link below. but again, if you talk about these reasons you will win over everyone on your side and not look like a brainwashed false propaganda reading American.
California has a long history leading the country in anti-smoking laws.
It is against the law to smoke in a place of business, a restaurant, now even in bars or lines to a movie, or to smoke with kids in the car. There was even a law that was vetoed that would have banned smoking at all state parks. Some cities outlaw smoking in apartment buildings.
The restrictions on smoking are steadily increasing.
For nonsmokers pot is just one more source of air pollution.
