@markthurst100 hey my mother has a medical marijuana card for arthrites. she was using medications with side affects worse than the actual ailments. since using medical marijuana she hasn’t complained about the cold, or really worried about her condition since. it DOES HELP PEOPLE and for you to say that is extremly offensive and ignorant
@markthurst100 can you please explain to me why it is ok for alcohol to be legal and pot not to be legal when thousands of people die from alcohol a yeah same with sigerettes to. But pot has caused 0 deaths in the whole world. And also why do you give a fuck if someone has a medical marijuana card even if they are healthy? Its their body they can do as they please with it. And yes on 19 will make california out of the shit hole they are in right now by taxing pot.
Interesting debate, allthough I think most of the fears that the Vote-No People have are not backed up by the facts.
Noone is gonna come in your home to “check” wether you have more then 5by5, Prop 19 doesnt install any controlling measoures for private growers. Just IF you get a raid(maybe for some other reason, or because somebody told the police your grow is too big) and the police finds something bigger then 5by5 you will be convicted for it..
@edna2422 How could they even know that you´re growing your own? You wont have to apply to a license, you wont have to register your grow, right?
This law, despite its problems, will continue the path to complete world-wide legalisation. It will help so many people, so please dont be too focused on your own position..
If you want this to pass, you’re ignorant and did not do your research. The government is going to fuck all of you over. Don’t let me say I told you so, vote no.
@markthurst100 well you’re just a wonderful human being, aren’t you?…pathetic.
Check out the movie called “Grass” for a little insight on how the Feds made it illegal.
Who needs 99 plants?? You’re over your head.
Yes on 19.
NO to Prop 19…that’s not real legalization. Lets vote for the Jack Herer initiative in 2012. 99 plants sounds a hell of a lot better
“We tax alcohol. We tax cigarettes. Why wouldn’t we look at taxing marijuana?” Long Beach Councilman Patrick O’Donnell said. “We’re turning over every rock to find new revenues, and under one of those rocks may be marijuana.”
YES ON 19
NO on 19.
It basically makes marijuana illegal, because every county is going to say no growing.
@edna2422 yes because right now they just bust u, id rather be taxed then arrested
@Dmac11a666 what makes you think the government will let you grow your own for free? There will be fees ofcourse! I am very curious of these fees
yes on prop19
If Prop 19 passes @ 7.27 cops don’t write the law BUT THEY SURE AS HELL INTERPRETED the law and it’s up to you to hire an attorney to prove you’re innocent.
PLEASE vote NO on PROP 19 and give the people back the power.

READ PROPOSITION 215 CAREFULLY * IT IS A CRUEL HOAX
The proponents of this deceptive and poorly written initiative want to exploit public compassion for the sick in order to legalize and legitimatize the widespread use of marijuana in California.
Richard Lee is going to take our Meds !!!!! BOO HOO
Prop 19 does not Supersede prop 215
Vote Yes on 19

@cmorera Also, I’m not sure on this… But don’t people on parole still get tested for drugs including alcohol, meaning jail time for failed U.A.’s? This won’t change that, but it’s a large chunk of ‘arrests’ I bet. I know a few people this has happened to in my state, when they were originally charged with completely different charges.
@cmorera Every person who grows their own, even if just a little, can be arrested. This lets ANYONE grow their own if they want, not just the ones who use, or abuse the medicinal system that makes the whole thing look bad anyway. With that law in place, small amounts of pot can at least be transported without risking a fine and confiscation every time.. You have to have a permit to sell liquor, so so what? Where does it say only Richard Lee can get a permit? That’s absurd.
@Clyaton people don’t get arrested now for what prop 19 is calling to ‘legalize’ so its a non point. It also will make it strictly illegal to sell any amounts, unless you are Richard Lee, or have a special government permit. So, this won’t be changing the black market that much, imo…
a $100 fine certainly proves it is a criminal act, albeit not a serious one.
