@steveo9001 although ive seen the effectiveness of tying down … tying it down will force all the nodes where there was a leaf to produce its own stock cause the plant wants to grow up but if the main colla or w.e is being blocked or bent down in this case. it will produce nodes from anywhere that is getting sun in order to keep growing. if a small tree or something is shading the plant . it will stretch to the sky weakening the stock and making it fall over when the buds get big !!!
tying them down does …. make more buds … but they are sooooo small in comparison to the main colas … alot of growers from what ive read on forums ext … much prefer to chop the top of the plant off which will cause the plant to form 2 main colas or more
also … im pretty sure … she cut the top off that plant at one point or another … it follows the main stock then out of no where shoots out into 4 new stocks that all took a dominate position rather than having only 1
