Spiritually Californian: Will you be voting for proposition 19 in the Californian ballot this week on Nov 2?
http://www.voterguide.sos.ca.gov/propositions/19/
“PROP 19
LEGALIZES MARIJUANA UNDER CALIFORNIA BUT NOT FEDERAL LAW. PERMITS LOCAL GOVERNMENTS TO REGULATE AND TAX COMMERCIAL PRODUCTION, DISTRIBUTION, AND SALE OF MARIJUANA. INITIATIVE STATUTE.”
@ Nay-sayer. When you oppose marijuana legalization you are putting your vote to fund and support organized crime?
Why are you so hatefully voting in favor of organized crime?
If I was a resident of California, I would vote yes.
No way.
better than the criminals making cash off it
but they should hammer people who drive on it
Yes, I will be voting “yes.”
However, I doubt it will pass.
Peace.
I don’t live in California, but if I did, I’d have to vote NO. I don’t object to people smoking marijuana, but I *do* object to what amounts to the setting up of a commercial drug industry. I’d prefer to see full decriminalisation but with no possibility of commercialisation.
Edit: I think the tobacco industry are at least as bad as organised crime. They’ve certainly been responsible for a great deal more death and suffering. So, are *those* the people you’d like to see take over marijuana in CA?
