Yes
LOL Like Obama would let that happen!
Another alternative would be to legalize mercy killings by citizens of junkies.
Thedy don’t enforce it now.
they have selective enforcement of federal laws now, depending on what voting constituency it affects.
How important is smokin dope to you?
Yep. And any states that have laws should repeal them as well and make it a personal choice. Oh, and then we should expand it past marijuana to anything at all. I’ll be damned if anyone has the right to tell me what I can and cannot put in my body.
You’re suggesting a Democrat would repeal a federal law so that it could become a state’s issue? You do realize that is totally and completely against everything Democrats stand for, right?
And California voters have already said no to dope on Tuesday. Will you stoners give it up? Nobody, but you, thinks that marijuana should be legalized.
Yes. Yes they should. Thank you for the two points.
I think state governments have enough competence to legislate what is right for their state in such matters.
Issues that become a national security issue or any conduct by one state that affects another state should then become a federal issue.
Federal Prohibition of marijuana and all the other drugs is unconstitutional anyway, given the power to ban any substances isn’t granted to Congress under Article I Section 8, and that in accordance to the 10th Amendment, any powers not granted to the Federal Government is reserved to the States or to the People. So absolutely it should be repealed.
And while I disagree with state prohibition as well, at least they have the Constitutional legitimacy to have their bans.
