Dear fielsjd:
if you had bothered to go to Wikipedia you would have discovered that there is an abundance of references to scientific studies regarding cancer studies and cannibidiol. Use those.
There is also a website with an abundance of material which you might have discovered if you had googled “cannibis cures cancer”
See: the website “cannibis cures cancer”
There are pictures of cures.
or: google: “science and cannibis”
A cure for cancer has been known since 1974.
My first impulse is to reply to you sarcastically, but I’ll struggle against it and give you a serious answer.
If someone asks for a source regarding medical information, you can assume that he already knows how to google things. Wikipedia and youtube are not reliable sources of this kind of information.
My question should have been, “do you know of any reliable sources for this info?”
What do you mean you were in the middle you were just saying last year legalize all drugs lol.
there are many videos on youtube about this, as well. search: Jack Herer
Jack Herer is the man who discovered the dark history behind the move to prohibit any form of hemp in the United States. There is a documentary about it.
Prohibition occurred when a thresher was invented that made the difficult task of separating the pulp from the stalk of hemp plants much easier. Oil co’s and paper co’s had invested a lot in their products, and the hearings on it disallowed any other input.
google these or see wikipedia’s page:
cannibis cures cancer
cannibidiol
Jack Herer
Prohibition occurred when the new petrochemical companies along with Hearst newspapers saw that hemp had the ability to provide oil, paper, etc. without dessimating our forests or investing in crude oil. It was rushed through Congress and panic was inspired so that no form of hemp could be grown anywhere in America… for anything.
I bet this guy needs his memory refreshed

Kidding – I smoke it on occasion (I don’t during the uni semester)
I’m going to get high, SO HIGH…. here in about 5 minutes.
“Hemp is of first necessity to the wealth & protection of the country.” -Thomas Jefferson
“Make the most of the Indian hemp seed, and sow it everywhere.” ~George Washington, The writings of George Washington Vol 33, page 270 (Library of Congress), 1794
“Some of my finest hours have been spent on my back veranda smoking hemp and observing as far as my eye can see.”
~ Thomas Jefferson, 1781
Yep! after all patents applied for in 2001 & granted in 2003 were for neuroprotective antioxidant
“Some of my finest hours have been spent on my back veranda smoking hemp and observing as far as my eye can see.”

CMON THINK ABOUT THAT… YOU GOt MORE ChaNCE TO GET INTOXICATED BY FOOD THAN MARIJUANA? LET THE WEED BE AND CRIMINALIZE EATING…
I’m not sure where you read these studies and am interested in reading them myself. The study in which I’m referring to measured reaction time, attention, verbal/language, abstraction/executive functioning, perceptual/motor skills, motor skills, learning and forgetting. It can increase the chance of getting schizophrenia if you are already prone to it. THC is actually pretty unique in it’s medicinal purposes, there is a list of positive effects it has which no other drug compares to.
Except that, Dane, I have read many studies showing it’s not just learning and forgetting, it’s also motor coordination, body chemistry, increased psychological disorders – all of which is to be expected. THC isn’t a unique wonder drug that does no harm. I’m not saying it can’t be used as medicine or that I think the level of enforcement we have in the U.S. is appropriate, but I think the view on Marijuana is biased on both extremes.
Meh, since you brought it up I’m going to reply to it anyways. As for any neurological damage, the only damage that has been shown is a very small effect in learning and forgetting. Very small. These are the only permanent long term effects of smoking marijuana.
The real issue IS whether it should be legal or not. People should not be thrown in jail for deciding to smoke marijuana. Those suffering should not be denied a medicine that makes them better, even if that medicine is illegal marijuana. If somebody wants to pay attention to what’s happening in society, it doesn’t matter whether they smoke marijuana or not. They will still pay attention. As for it causing any neurological damage, with what studies have shown, this point is pretty redundant.
Bullshit, the reason the Netherlands is closing coffee shops is because of the Religious conservative government at the moment, it has nothing to do with scientific evidence whatsoever. Read the science, don’t listen to propaganda. The real science shows no brain damage is caused by cannabis.
I don’t think legal or not is the real issue. In the Netherlands, perhaps because marijuana is much stronger than before, they are finding an increase in neurological damage from it, so much so that they are starting to close coffee shops.
I know people love their drugs, but it’s still drugs and that escape comes at a high price to the mind, body, and culture. Anyone watching TYT knows our societies need more attention than we’ve been giving. We aren’t going to do that escaping on drugs.
LMAO i love the cypress hill at the end π nicely executed.
It’s not the nicotine that kills! It’s the smoooooke! The smooooooke.
I’m betting on California to do so first. Hopefully in 2010. If not, I’m sure it will be reintroduced
People will soon see the massive business and economic boom from this industry. And others will soon follow, hopefully quickly. π
