That logic is flawed. No one is comfortable buying from creepy dealers/giving money to cartels. I think most people would much prefer paying more to buy from a legitimate, regulated business where they know they’re buying quality. Regulated MJ would be more carefully tended and less likely to have been contaminated by harmful pesticides than the brick crap smuggled in from Mexico.

If it were legal, it would give the cartels LESS to work with. marijuana is the #1 cash crop. not because it is illegal, its because everyone smokes. crime from drugs come from the laws. not the other way around. if we make a monopoly on it by keeping it illegal, there will always be people ready to kill in order to profit. whereas if it were legal and controlled…it takes the power out of the hands of the cartels.
@supdenfoosukka wrong. Misinformation will destroy the economy. Legalization has the potential to boost the economy into high gear. Think of how many people would want to go to California if this passes. The green rush of 2010 would dwarf the gold rush of 1849.

If cannabis is legalized in california by prop 19. Then california is going to be the only state in the nation where you can smoke and grow your own shit.
If proposition 19 passes, then hopefully in the future other states will follow.

this is truly understandable for someone that occasionally consumes marijuana. when you really think of their goals marijuana can help someone achieve those goals. people build marijuana up, leading to more people doing it just to fit in or have the ‘cool’ imagae, when in essence marijuana is a decision that someone should be able to freely decide on. can we all realize that ESPECIALLY IN AMERICA people should see that some decision, that dont harm other people, can be made individually!?
