Proposition 19 Legalize Marijuana Letitia Pepper Analysis 02
Sarah Flowers travels to Riverside, California to uncover why so many medical marijuana patients are against proposition 19 which will be on the California ballot in November. Letitia Pepper has been an attorney for about 30 years and worked as a legal analist for the courts and worked for Best Best & Krieger. Lititia’s experience gives her insight into the basic, unemotional law and how it will be interpreted by the courts, not to mention the individual cities in California. This is part 2 of a 2 part series.
@kfiliotis Yes, unfortunately, they are truly convinced that richard lee is cornering the market? NO ONE corners the marijuana market, we’ve made that clear with the drug war… All this will do is get law enforcement off of everyone’s back altogether on the issue of pot. It doesn’t affect 215 AT ALL.
@HolisticPlantHealth Its very true that MJ has amazing medical benefits. People will still be able to get perscriptions and take advantage of the prop215 even if prop19 passes
Bonnie Dumanis’ little fishing expeditions will be OVER when Prop 19 passes! No local law enforcement agency or officer can even attempt to seize lawful marijuana, much less go undercover to get a Prop 215 recommendation in order to buy a quarter ounce (for $130?!?) to set up a dispensary owner.
Prop 215 works so well huh
The ex-manager of a medical marijuana dispensary in San Diego has been convicted of drug crimes and faces up to six years in state prison.
The judge ruled that Jackson couldn’t use the state’s medical marijuana law as a defense.Jackson will be sentenced next month. Outside court, he told reporters he’ll appeal and feels pity and anger at prosecutors for pursuing criminal charges against medical marijuana defendants.
One must ask themselves, “What kind of attorney cannot even follow the few basic laws that govern local campaigns for a minimal City Council position? ” This is pretty basic stuff, and if an attorney cannot follow these basic campaign laws, what makes one believe she has ANY CREDIBILITY in interpreting Prop. 19.
Ms. Letitia Pepper.
She ran a failed campaign for Mayor of Riverside in 2001 and campaigned for a City Council position in 2008, in which she also lost badly. Her campaign was fined $25,000 for violating signage statutes that govern how candidates campaign and could not follow the basic laws that govern campaign finance for small elections.
Yes, there is always a trick to getting what you want. Two more years of people not being able to work because of the ambiguity. I think you are too late on this initiative. Of coarse they wanted to monopolize it. To think they aren’t watching and considering their entrance to the market is ridiculous. It could go in a very green direction though.
