For all the cali voters that voted no I hope you all die by a drunk driver
r i g g e d
I agree with the generation gap thing, no matter how much i try and explain to my grandparents the lies that were told about weed, they just don’t listen, they’re not interested. Kinda annoying.
@SASJKL Glad I could help =P
@ChristianMission In conclusion I ask you to ponder this question: “If the government cares so much about me, why do they always keep me in fear, reminded that I could die at any second, claim to represent me but never listen to me? sell me poisons as a treat and then throw me in a cage for carrying a plant? Why do they use me as a tool to gain fortunes and claim its for the greater good only to never give back when i’m in need? Is this my reality? Is THIS the world I want to live in?”
@ChristianMission and finally..
3.) The war on drugs isn’t a war, its a massacre. From the middle east to mexico hundreds of innocent people died TODAY because Pot = money. The gangs have figured that out, so have big tobacco and alcohol. Those Above the influence PSA’s, guess who funds them? Thats right! The very corporations that have a choke-hold on the american economy for substances, and they are sure as hell not just going to step aside and give up their fortunes they’ve made over 60 yrs.
@ChristianMission (cont.) So listen, 3 points and i’m done. 1.) The DEA makes a killing off of drug busts and government funding for the war on drugs, they are NEVER going to admit theyve been wrong for 60 yrs.
2.) Alcohol makes you dizzy, stupid, and aggressive and is basically mild poison. Pot on the other hand is a plant that makes you calm, happy, and a friendly with 0 side effects or withdrawal. And,Cigarettes, why pay? Just soak some dry leaves in bleach and rat posion and smoke that!
@ChristianMission Seriously man, this route? So what you’re telling me is that EVERYONE is going to go to work high just like EVERYONE goes to work drunk right? The war on drugs costs $50 billion/year just for the DEA alone, imagine how may inmates are in prison for possession and how much it costs the state to house ONE of them for 5 years? It’s childish. As far as that driving statistic, they probably polled 100 medical pot patients and asked “Who here still drives while not 100% sober?” …
Prediction: This will cost Obama 2012. Im sure as fuck not voting for him now. He stood by and did nothing to help us.
and don’t say they don’t go after the bullshit petty users, they got me twice for nothing, broken bong and roach with maybe a flake or two, less then .1 of a gram. I know people who get bused for a flake of the carpet of the floor in their car. They are nothing more then cowards, seeing as i saw someone getting robbed right down the street the first time a i got bagged, they ignored that and arrested me, lmao.
@ChristianMission And my question is how did the DEA get that statistic? No one really cares about the cannabis laws until it affects them, cause they are nothing more then right wing bullshit. All they do is help pharmaceutical companies, alcohol companies, the police departments which get bonuses for ignoring real iolent crimes and going after small drug users, and the DEA. The DEA is a group of extremely biased lairs. They are not a reliable source to me.

@ummmwhatnow ,it’s called research. The DEA finds legalizing drugs will cost up to $210 billion per year in lost productivity and on the job accidents. Less than a year after California relaxed laws for marijuana possession, juveniles driving while high rose from 46% to over 71%. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates legal marijuana will only increase the number of those driving under its influence.
@ummmwhatnow man…your comment made my day. thumbs up!
@ChristianMission I was going to waste my time typing a nice long explanation of how much harm the war on drugs has done, but you’re clearly a bible thumping right wing wacko that got all his information from above the influence PSA ads and then thinks he has everything figured out. Congratulations, you’re one of the ignorant masses that can’t think for themselves and just recites whatever they’ve been spoon fed by the media. If Ignorance is bliss, then why think things through, am I right?
@xJoeEDangerouslyx
It is a stupid argument if you want political support for marijuana.
The “holier than thou” model coming from scallywags is ridiculous.
What you do with your body is not a privilege, it is a right according to you leftist morons.
I just love your circular firing squad…
@SirWinstonChurchill Yes, some drugs ARE worse than other drugs. Is marijuana “better” than heroin or crystal meth? How about ecstasy? Cocaine? Crack?
Yes, my drug is better than your drugs.
By the way, I do support taxing pot. I support taxing alcohol, tobacco, and candy. We have the privilege to have vices in America. We have the privilege to public schools, and police protection. But we also have responsibilities, such as paying taxes for these privileges. Freedom isn’t free.
I think the tax was a bad idea but it would have been worth it to free up the prisons and expunge poeples records.I dont belive in sin taxes for things that dont kill people,but i would have voted for prop 19 to help the prisoners who don’t belong in prison if i were a Californian.Too bad it didn’t pass.
@bersaba
The argument “my drug is better than your drug” is just asinine.
It is none of the government’s business to tax marijuana.
And, if you are old enough at 18 to go die for them in a war, you should be old enough to smoke a fucking joint or have a glass of whiskey if you want to.
Legalize it with no taxation, make the government leeches get a real job…
@bersaba
Some people are worried more about the money than they are about the problem.
Taking the profits from one criminal gang and giving it to the criminal gang in the California legislature who screwed up the state budget to begin with is a losing proposition like Prop. 19 was a loser.
Legalizing marijuana without taxation takes the money out of it.
Trading one criminal gang for another is a silly idea…
“The things I like are cheap… I’m only burning my half…”
Pot isn’t harmless, but it’s a lot less harmful then alcohol, and I say that as someone who doesn’t smoke but does drink.
That said, I don’t think any campaign to legalise pot would work unless there was a major advertising campaign. People have a stigma to pot (for both right and wrong reasons) and until that’s changed it won’t be legalised.
@595o in no way, shape, or form.
@SirWinstonChurchill You can’t even explain why lol.
@MasterAdam100
You thought we were talking about Socialism?
National Socialism? Soviet Socialism?
Fascism is the same fucking thing…
@OriginalBeast
The taxes on marijuana killed my support…
And I don’t even smoke.
These assholes that fucked up the budget need to stew in their own shit.
