WONT YOU POTHEADS THINK A LITTLE! We CAN’T legalize marijuana. That would mean that people who produce it, transport it and sell it will no longer be subject to an underground economy and will therefore have a access to courts, contracts and mainstream mediums of commerce. That means they won’t conduct business or solve disputes with bribery, intimidation or guns. Think of all the badass movies we will be deprived of people!!
ex DEA people that will vote yes on prop 19 are those that still dont have their finger in the drug enforcement budget pie. old school DEA agents are not heroes, they are rich from jailing people and ensuring it carries on every decade. the prison complex also loves pot being illegal. politicians tough on crime stance gets them sure votes.
how about the people that say but i only drink two wines. when the person that smoked two puffs gets done because they find drivers that got drunk while stoned and crashed and all of a sudden we think pot driving is going to make roads unsafe. does anyone actually bring up the studies to these people in the media that warn about stoned driving, or tell them beers at home is legal despite drink drivers being a menace.
@Lsdgotaholdofme If you’d insist on the COnstitution this could not happen as there’s suppose to ALWAYS be an ‘injured party’ to pursue criminal charges.
TUrns out the legal industry makes more money, we use them as slaves, and it makes for easy spotting of those that say, “Screw you too!” for keeping a plant that stops cancer ILLEGAL.
Our CANCER rates have skyrocketed since making hemp illegal; there is a scientifically proven relationship; especially with ‘incurable’ cancers like glioblasts.
idiots — he says he’s not a former DEA chief, and you don’t change the caption? bush league. Also, the beer industry *has* donated money to the vote no on 19
The United States is not the only place where marijuana is illegal. In case you didnt know, theres not a single country on earth where marijuana is fully legal. So instead of just hating the United States, you should hate the WORLD!
@yamilayamilayamila your lungs will be fine. if your worried about that you can vaporize the marijuana or make food with the marijuana, you dont have to smoke it. it wont kill you or cause cancer either. i think you would like it
@yamilayamilayamila once ur body is fully developed weed wont do anything to your lungs, nobody has ever died from it and it takes a whole lot of smoking to change the chemical balance in your head (decades of daily smoking). but yeah 1.2 billion every year in tax revenue and opening up prison space which also saves the state billions. plus the strong blow to the violent mexican drug cartel (weed being their main source of income) its a good prop and will pass. what happens after is a mystery
Well im totally against weed(never smoke in my 17 life) but it can help the economy of California :- My U.S. Govt. teacher was teaching us about this for a whole month about the proposition 🙁
My community is pretty high on crime rates and full of potheads Dx Only high school senior student who hasn’t smoke weed or anything :D! Want my lungs to be clean XD can’t say anything about my liver though XD lol
@Lsdgotaholdofme Shit the feds say they above the law what does that tell you about our trustfull rulers….. I thought they were suposed to work for us, so why the fuck do they think they own us?
@ballinx30 considering you threw a question mark on your first statement I suppose that was a question. The answer is yes, For your next question, the answer is no. And to respond to your personal attack, Its easy to assume on the internet who and what people are but in the end it really just makes you look like a fool
@Lsdgotaholdofme your not throw in the same class as rapists are killers? are you stupid? you sound like a typical 17 year old ignorant kid who just started toking. get out of mom’s basement and educate yourself before you make such idiotic statements.
Added Joseph McNamara, a retired San Jose chief of police, via the Yes on Prop 19 campaign: “As we saw with the repeal of alcohol prohibition, it takes action from the states to push the federal government to change its policies… Passing Proposition 19 in California will undoubtedly kick start a national conversation about changing our country’s obviously failed marijuana prohibition policies.”
We need to legalize weed, we need lower prices for bud from much competition, and we need regulation on cannabis. (The drug war has gone nowhere with marijuana just ‘back and forth’)
I smoke, and I admit most of these comments about legalization make most pot smokers look like uneducated lobbyists, but my opinion is that we need the taxation from it to help slightly nudge us out of this recession (This alone more then likely won’t pull us out. But its a good start.
“I have no doubt that the feds will file suit if Proposition 19 passes,” said Dale Gieringer, California director for the pro-legalization National Organization for Reform of Marijuana Laws.
@ArbyWanKenobi but think about it.. its a hell of a lot safer then alcohol and tobacco so why is it illegal again?
@killingfloor70 but millions of Americans already smoke pot despite being illegal..

Weed shouldn’t be legal, but the ‘punishment’ should be the same as jaywalking.
