@phazedoutxxxx if you hold the red-hot ceramic tip of an herb iron just a centimeter or so above the weed and pull, it technically IS VAPORIZING. Using hot air to heat the weed. The same thing a Volcano does, takes hot air and passes it through your herb. HENCE why you see a white haze in Volcano bags. True vapor comes from water, and since THC is not water-soluble, there really is not such thing as a weed vaporizer. If you touch the hot tip to the weed, ya you’re burning it. But otherwise…

By the way guys, u can “vaporize” herbs this way easly. And u don’t need a $150 phedor for it. All you need is a torch lighter and some foil. Put your herb in the bowl then press the foil into it. Heat up the foil and your herb will start vapourizing. Cost to you – $10 torch lighter!
P.S. Don’t use a very thick foil.)

it is and it isn’t. you could hold the phedor away from the bud and not let the bud actually burn and it would reach the temperature to vaporize but then it will also burn up after too. so its kinda more effective.

One thing bro, you didnt vape anything. You just used a ceramic element to smoke a bong. After you vape you should have brown coloured, toasty smelling dust left over, not ash. You are still smoking that weed, stop kidding yourself. Plus you sucked half of your herb into the water before you burned it…. consider a screen or not inhaling so hard.

Your right, it is called hybrid vaporizing because you get a little bit of both. I actually DO vaporize with my Herb-Iron, I just hover it over the weed and take care not to ignite it. Works great cuz when your done, you could smoke the rest of the used herb and make your bowls last twice as long.
OMG most of the comments I just read are fucking retarded! It’s a HYBRID VAPORIZOR! Nobody claimed it was an actual vaporizor, it’s a heating element to light the bud. It’s just a way to smoke weed without torching the fuck out of it wtih nasty ass butane (which is really bad for you especially your teeth), that’s it!
