Patrick Dudley, Criminal Defense Attorney, Interviewed on San Diego 6 (XETV-TV) News on 9/9/09
Raids target San Diego medical marijuana shops SAN DIEGO (AP) — Law enforcement teams from several agencies have raided medical marijuana dispensaries across San Diego. San Diego police officials say personnel from federal, state and local departments served warrants at an undisclosed number of storefronts across the county, targeting dispensaries in beach communities. A police spokeswoman did not disclose the reason for the raids or whether there were any arrests. Officials with the district attorney’s office and the Drug Enforcement Administration say they will provide more details at a press conference Thursday. Americans for Safe Access, a medicinal cannabis advocacy group, decried the raids. On Tuesday, the San Diego City Council voted to form a citizen’s task force that will seek to clarify local laws governing the use of medical marijuana. ©2009 Associated Press. All rights reserved. In the video, Patrick Dudley, Criminal Defense Attorney, is interviewed by Lynn Stuart on San Diego 6 (XETV-TV) News on 9/9/09. Attorney Dudley explains that there were people who were “legitimately serving medical marijuana patients and were trying to abide by the attorney general guidelines the best that they could”, but that in this situation, the guidelines are so unclear that what is happening is that, ironically, “you’re guilty until proven innocent here.”
What BS. I think most of us see right through this. Sorry DEA. I know you need those jobs but we the people have had enough as far as I’m concerned. Not Buying!
Oh yes, here comes the attacks. Legalized marijuana is doing too well. A minor traffic accident and now there are 10 cops on the scene. Protect those jobs and keep people under control. Protect big Pharma so they can keep making a fortune off the poisons they can patent and sell. Keep the lobbyist happy who are paying the politicians. That bad word “Drug dealers” but they’re operating from legal and licensed California outlets? Is CVS Pharmacy a “Drug Dealer” too?
