Online Shopping PLOT Thickens?
New Delhi : Online shopping is a new way to shop but do you think that people are still happy with it? For example eBay the biggest online shopping mall till date with millions of buyers and sellers but still it does not provide you fair price, security & you can’t even see or feel the product before buying.
In India people want real stuff they are more concerned about the value of the product they buy, at any cost don’t think that they will pay you more unless and untill someone dare to lure them.
Recently Jiffy360.com announced mega online computer mall with investments of over Rs 20 billion and a network of over 30,000 suppliers. Reliance Retail a company owned by Mukesh Ambani group is investing online both Jiffy360 & Reliance have faced problems from small sellers who cannot match there economy of scale which allow them to sell at prices lower than market. Subhiksha & Vishal Mega Mart are planning similar investments.
Where is this online shopping industry headed?
On line shopping is heavily dependent upon one resource to complete the transaction for the consumer. That’s gasoline or petrol. That substance is needed to propel the vehicle that delivers the goods to the customer, whether it is a business-to-business transaction or the cyberspace equivalent of a catalog item purchase.
In the past ten years all of the major retailers who were selling goods out of fixed locations have added a web site and “e-tail” option to the selling of their goods. Even in my own case it is far easier to obtain goods by this method than to fight crowds at a shopping mall or endure (in many cases) the almost total ignorance of retail sales clerks. I also find a greater variety of goods this way because the web site can list items that may not have wide popularity.
