Should lines be drawn? NOPE
If a medical treatment is legal and ethical, and both patient and physician are satisfied that the treatment is providing relief, then what are the grounds for denying a patient this effective treatment?
Once a medicine is approved for use, Doctors are free to perscribe it for any condition.
For example, cytotec is pill that people take orally to treat stomach ulcers. But doctors frequently use it now by inserting the pill into a woman’s vagina to induce labor.
If the physician sees a need for it, or thinks that marijuana will help his patient, then he/she should be able to order it for them. I don’t care about lines being drawn. My brother lives in CA and he has such severe vertigo from a brain stem condition that he can’t fly on a plane and had to find another career when he was a licensed plumber. He has his marijuana card, and I know it has helped him. Would you draw the line on him? Not me. He’s a responsible hard working guy and I’m glad to see him get something that actually helps him.
