Medical Marijuana and pharmacy school?
I have a hypothetical question. If i obtained a medical marijuana license, would it affect me getting into college? into pharmacy school? into becoming an actual pharmacist?
also, do pharmacists work at medical marijuana dispensaries? please no “drugs are bad” responses.

There is no such thing as “medical” marijuana in the pharmacy world. Marijuana is a C-1 drug and thus illegal. If your company does a drug test and you are positive, you will be fired. No pharmacist/pharmacy would think of “dispensing” marijuana. That is a one way ticket to losing your license and your pharmacy’s DEA and/or state license. A drug related misdemeanor will ruin your chances of becoming licensed as a pharmacist.
C-1 drugs can only be legally dispensed with special permission from the DEA. If such permission is obtained, the DEA will supply you with the drug, not a pharmacy.
Getting a medical cannabis recommendation is just like going to any other doctor’s office-private unless YOU tell someone about it. However, if you fail a drug test, your employer/potential employer can decide not to hire you because of the results of the drug screening and there is nothing you can do about it. At least that’s the case in California.
You do not have to be a pharmacist to work in a collective.
