He is a smart man; his use of dialect and knowledge of government legislation is above-all.
More details would have been nice. They mention the plea falling through but fail to inform the viewer that Emery and the US agreed to a deal, then the Canadian Conservatives shot it down, leaving Emery to rot in a US prison! Completely unacceptable, our government is forcing the extradition of a Canadian citizen for “crimes” it knowingly collected taxes on!
Absolutely stunning.
I’ve been a supporter for years. I know the story. Even the early history parts. I saw the play about Emery in those days, while the real Marc sat in the audience and watched himself portrayed.
And I’ve followed the extradition fiasco. Yet, watching this biographical summation brings the whole mountain of injustice to bear. Despite familiarity, it stuns.
In a world more crowded each day, tolerance of our differences will be an essential part of our survival. Free the BC3!
