Is abortion really about a woman’s right to choose?
If so, why don’t pro abortion advocates champion other issues which should be others right to choose? Why can’t I choose to smoke marijuana? Or choose to commit assisted suicide?
Doesn’t the same logic apply to either of those things? It is my body, keep your laws off it?

Good point.
Those same people are supportive of those things. Have you talked to a libertarian lately?
I support the legalization of marijuana and assisted suicide. Anything else I can help you with?
It’s actually about the right to privacy regarding medical procedures and one’s own body.
And I am pro-choice, believe in the right to assisted suicide and am for legalization.
And there is no such thing as ‘pro-abortion’.
I support those choices as well…
..obviously opinions are going to vary from person to person on all of those issues.., and by circumstance…
No. It’s about a persons right to be irresponsible and not have to deal with the consequences of that behavior.
um.
I agree with you completely. I support rights for:
Abortion
Guns
Marijuana
Assisted Suicide
list goes on…
it’s not about abortion, it’s about the right to privacy and limited right of the govt to interfear with your privacy
My husband and I were discussing this last night at dinner. We’re both pro-choice and we also feel that assisted suicide should be legal and if people want to smoke pot and do whatever else to their own bodies and minds – so long as it doesn’t infringe on other people’s rights and doesn’t cause harm to anyone else, then they should have the right to chose what they do to themselves.
democrats just believe that a woman and or her doctor should have the last say
Republicans think politicians should have the ONLY say
You are right. Similarly the so called pro life folks should be opposing capital punishment.
Most pro lifers are not pro file — they are anti abortion. There is a difference.
No. It’s about denying human beings their human rights due to their very young age. It’s about age-based bigotry.
People who support abortion are typically the same people who support legalization of pot, and assisted suicide.
The issue of abortion is you are destroying an innocent human life. While legally, the government does not recognize any rights for an unborn child, the unborn child is still a human being, and his/her rights are being denied.
Yes it is. The pro-choice people don’t need to champion other causes, let those who think it’s important do that for themselves. You’re right, you SHOULD be able to smoke pot legally and have the right to a physician assisted suicide. I have no problems with any of these.
Because the right wing shills have made those things illegal.
And yes, it’s about making your own medial decisions.
No one is pro-abortion. Smoke pot, do assisted suicide. I’m fine with both choices.
Your logic is completely wrong and poorly stated. So you’re relating choosing to smoke marijuana to choosing to commit suicide to choosing an abortion? How about adding choosing whether to eat cereal in the morning to whether or not I should have children.
You’re not making any sense with your statement. There is no logic in your statement.
