I wouldn’t recomend having a scale. A scale and a large amount of marijuana is all they need to charge you with possession with intent to sell (Health and Safety code 11359) which is a felony.
There is nothing illegal about having a scale in your possession whether or not you have a medical marijuana card.

scale can be evidence for intent to sell… be smart, keep it at home
just leave the scale at home
