The tax would be $50 per oz. The price would be whatever the seller wants to charge for it, plus the tax.
I think the $50 per ounce tax, is the amount the distributor/store gets taxed…for the amount they have….and price would be determined by the store…not really sure. We’ll see what happens this coming November to get all the details.
As with everything that is taxed, that means price + tax = final cost for the consumer.
But, i would gladly take a price increase over the threat of a criminal record. I really dislike the way the tax stuff, specifically the sin taxes that are sooooo much higher than all the other taxes. But, I dislike criminal records even more.
