Not everybody in California is liberal.

I don’t smoke pot and don’t plan to if it is legal, but only a total moron or a drug dealer sees the benefit of keeping it illegal.
Liquor companies and local growers saw it was going to cut into their sales, so they came up with a big push against it. Just follow the money as usual.
Liberals are NOT for individual liberties. They are for group liberties, individuals are irrelevant, and can be sacrificed as necessary.

Not everyone in California is a liberal, your argument holds no water.
The most logical argument I’ve heard so far is from the Governator who said the law was poorly written and went too far. I’m not from CA so who knows.
But, a vote for prohibition is a vote for organized crime. Follow the money. When will we smarten up?
Perhaps the answer might be clearer if you looked at a map of the 2010 House race winners in CA.
You would have to know virtually nothing about CA to conclude that everyone there is a “liberal.” Not that you even know what that word means.

They aren’t the only ones in California.
Liberals hate individual liberty. That’s why they want us all to have government run health care. Not just people that need it, the people that already have health care insurance as well. EVERYONE is under the mother ships control in liberal land. You want to choose for yourself? Nope, you’re too stupid to them.
They are all the time trying to regulate and tax what people put into their bodies like sugar, transfats and salt. Abortion? Yeah that’s ok, it’s your body.

I believe that after all the decades of “drug propaganda” fed to them by an “untrustworthy government nanny” that “drugs are bad”, that, now, when that same nanny tells them the proverbial “apple” is now “safe” to eat, they still believe the old “truth”. In any case, the bill was flawed since, if the reasoning behind legalization was indeed “taxation”, then it left open the problem of how to enforce growing your own and being thrown into jail by use of “jack-booted” revenuers ala 1920’s Prohibition.
