I got my california Medical Marijuana / California Prop 215 license for night-time relief and pain?
I got my california Medical Marijuana / California Prop 215 license for night-time relief and pain. Can I still get a job with the government, courts, etc? Currently, I am in school for Paralegal Studies and I am scared that now that I got my license that I may never be able to get in with the courts or sheriff station, etc.
It would be a smart thing to talk with those entities about that before you get any deeper into it. You got a license… but people are still funny about that kind of thing. Would be really smart to just ask them.
At the moment, it’s a tricky issue; there will probably be a lawsuit or two go up to the appellate level or SCOTUS before it’s all hammered out.
Working for the state gov’t shouldn’t be a problem, but working in Federal Court might be.
Hi Susie,
I don’t think there would be a problem unless you were under the influence at work.
If you are in school for paralegal studies, you should write a paper on yourself, take advantage of all the reference materials you have access to along with a great support system. Since you are doing paralegal studies, the majority of a paralegals job is research. Moreover, you can inform others at the “Club” about the rights they have and don’t have.
