how is it that one makes profit from a “non-profit” medical marijuana dispensary?
i was reading about medical marijuana dispensary’s and i was wondering how do they make profit from a non profit organization? does the money the organization make stay with in the organization or does the owner get to keep any? just curiosity thanks

No one “owns” a nonprofit corporation,
No one gets the profits.
If they take in more money than they spend, they can keep it in savings for future expenses, or they can expand their services.
The people who work there get paid.
Ten percent of the American work force is EMPLOYED by nonprofits.
Yes, really.
Paychecks, health insurance, sick-vacation-holiday pay, the whole nine yards.
WHERE do you people get the completely absurd notion that nonprofits don’t have employees?
