How is a hookah tainted by smoking marijuana out of it? And is there any way to fix what ever it does out?

I know people who use hookahs for pot a lot, but they never have an real issues with it.
Well hookah is more for flavored tobacco
But some people use it for pot
they say it’s a little different than a bong
but not much
The hookah was initally used for smoking flavoured tobacco.
Two ways actually.
1) Gives us a Genuine Hookah Smokers a bad wrap. Nothing like smoke a bowl of Tangiers Green Apple Candy on your front porch and getting harassed by cops because they NOW assume we are smoking something illegal. We hate being treated like criminals while doing nothing wrong.
2) Marijuana and Salivia residue can collect in welds and bends in the hookah and even with regular hookah cleaning it can still build up. And be reactivated each smoke. Nothing like inviting your friend over for a smoke, and even though you haven’t smoked anything but tobacco out of it for weeks. He gets fired for testing positive for THC from the reheated buildup in you hookah.
