How do people feel about the recent raid on medical marijuana shops in California?
According to msn.com, the Compassionate Use Act was voted into effect by Calfornia’s citizens in 1996 making it possible for those with certain illnesses to obtain medical marijuana with a prescription. Today, the DEA raided several medical marijuana stores seizing pot and arresting workers. If I am not mistaken, the consitution gives the state the final say in law-making. Do you think the DEA was right or wrong in it’s actions? Who gets the final say, the state or the feds?
Very Sadly federal law reigns state law can be voted in but it cant go against the federal laws of this country. Do I think they were right no I don’t Do I think they were doing what they can legally do sighhhh yes.
It’s criminal behavior on the part of the Federal (Nazi) Storm Troopers! Their the 1’s whom should be in cages…
I think it is quite sad that it had to come to this. The reality is that a number of these shops don’t just sell to those who “need” the drug for medicinal purposes and are making a larger profit selling it as a “street drug” under the guise of legitimate businesses. That is why the DEA has been cracking down. It is too bad that human greed, just like in welfare cases causes trouble for those who are truly in need.
absolute waste of tax payers dollars and law enforcement’s time.
They cant re-open their doors fast enough…freakin’ feds. They need more to do.
As long as the big drug companies continue to give money to politicians they will keep marijuana illegal.where is the money for the rich drug companies if you can grow your pain killers at home? There are more people in prison for marijuana possession than almost all other crimes combined. Personally I would much rather smoke a joint than take the drugs that are out on the market now for pain relief.
It was wrong. It was an act of terrorism by our government.
