Does prohibition really do anything?
Marijuana is illegal but its so easy to get it might as well be legal. I mean if it were legal it would just release the penalties of marijuana not introduce another drug into our society. The drug dealers would probably stop selling it because the gas stations or pharmacies would probably have it.

I can honestly see marijuana being just like how they went about legalized alcohol.
All prohibition does is create a black market and fund terrorists, drug lords, organized crime, and inner city gangs. It has never worked before, and we know this because of our failed prohibition of alcohol.
No prohibition is useless. Btw weed is illegal because the government cant make money of it. (Because you can grow it yourself).
But it’s closer than ever to being legalized.
Prohibition never did do anything. Even in the 20s, the prohibition only deregulated alcohol sales since they were sold anyway, and was both started and ended for tax/monetary reasons to help fund the government. Marijuana taxes could earn the government a LOT of money and more regulation of the drug would enable better quality and prices for the consumer. Marijuana is less harmful than alcohol, or cigarettes, or a plethora of drugs that can be bought OTC — not addictive, wonderful. Someday they’ll figure it out and legalize it. I have faith.
