Yes only female plants. Males are used for hemp mostly.

You can smoke it but there is almost no THC content, there is a tiny bit though.

Well, I just did a google for “what do I do with my male marijuana plant” and I see this. I bought 10 “white widow” seeds from a place in Amsterdam. I set up an indoor grow room and let the first seed that sprouted grow. It’s about 48 inches tall and is for sure a male. As I’ve had to prune leaves I’ve tried some and trust me, it’s already got THC; true it’s tasting bad from the bong, but actually ok from rolling fatties. It will taste better so I’ve read when harvested, due to the fact that before harvesting you let it just have plain sweet water and that sweetens it up and makes sure all the growing chemicals are gone. You can read lots on it, some male plants produce killer weed. “shake” as I guess they say. I read about making honey oil. I’m going to do more searching to see what is recommended to get the best possible high from male plants. It’s pretty and fun nonetheless, and I’m guessing, since there’s a 50/50 shot always it’s a boy or girl. I see that the aforementioned co in Amsterdam claims “female producing seeds”, which I guess is always an option too… over and out, W.L.
