Oh, lord. Quit believing everything you read-I think you’ve smoked yourself silly. If you are so worried, then smoke out of a plastic bong. Besides, when it comes to harming your lungs, I think the “glass dust” is probably the least of your worries in this case.
Well, if it’s true I’d be dead by now. I quit smoking 32 years ago when I found out I was pregnant. But I have a friend who’s been “bonging it” for 35 years and he’s still goin’ strong. He’s in great health.
That is a myth started by Goodstash glass blower Tony Colter because for whatever reason he doesn’t want his blowers to use anything but rubber grommets.
Everybody else in the world is aware that he’s full of crap. Glass on glass is the way to go and you don’t have to worry about glass dust.
If you have older pieces with rubber grommets, you’ll find it’ll be harder to find replacement downstems etc, but they’ll work just fine.
