Did Arnold Schwarzenegger damage the chances of Proposition 19’s passing by signing bill SB1449?
SB 1449 does not legalize marijuana, only decriminalizes it. This will make possession of one ounce or less of marijuana punishable by up to 100$, confiscation of substance, no arrest record, and no possible jail sentence. What does this mean for repeat offenders? And does it change your idea of passing prop. 19?
@tirebiter
What do you mean exactly? I am completely for the legalization of Proposition 19 (even though i do see it as flawed, it is much better than what we have now) , and I am not a smoker. People grow their own pot = drug cartel is no longer in business. Ummmm, i’m not sure what you are really getting at though?
Republicans like Schwarzenegger will do anything to control and deny freedom to the American people.
If your so worried about what a stupid muscle boy governor does about pot, think about yourself and what you are supporting. Cartels are killing thousands so you can slobber all over your bong. Why don’t you just grow your own and stay home in your stupor.
Not at all!
FIRST the current law – norml.org – No jail and no more than a $100 fine.
Prop 19 does not legalize MJ either – just more decriminalizing with regulations on amount.
So now no matter the Nov vote, the State can collect $100 a pop for an MJ ticket and raise money with out impacting a life. The State will be sure to have larger fines for repeat offenders – Maybe even make money on Court ordered MJ education.
That is what republicans do – make money off of regulation.
