Republicans are opposed to legalization almost uniformly. This is in spite of the fact that people are much more likely to vote for them when stoned.

Republicans are strongly opposed to the legalization of marijuana.
They stand with the Beer, Wine and Liquor lobbyists in opposing Prop 19. Beer, Wine and Liquor companies are afraid of the competition that Marijuana would bring if legalized, taxed and regulated and Conservatives /Republicans stand with the Alcohol industry in their opposition.
i think all drugs should be legal and none of them should be taxed.
on the federal level the only person i know advocating ending the war on drugs is a republican named ron paul.
