It is unlikely that you will be able to get your appropriate licenses with a felony on your record. Get the contact information from your local office for the licensing board to find out about your particular scenario.
Yes, if you have permission from your state insurance commissioner. I don’t think it would be hard to get the permission, because your felony is NOT fiduciary-related.
BTW, that’s not just for State Farm, but for ANY insurance company or agency.
Yes you can, but It depends if your office will accept you as an employee and if the insurance commission will give you a license.
Every company’s contracting papers ask if you have been convicted of a felony. I think each company has their own guidelines on who they will contract regarding felonies. I also think it will depend a lot on the crime, too. The last contract I completed asked if I had ever been convicted of a felony with the exception of a marijuana possession. So, I guess they think smoking pot is no big deal! I thought this was kind of strange myself…
