Can you medical marijuana advocates answer this honestly?
Doctors in Israel are putting THC into pill form and studying it’s effectiveness.Would you agree to this use in the US.

absolutely, but it’s not as easy at it sounds.
thc in the wild is attached to a water molecule. as such, it’s not psychoactive. that’s why you can’t just eat a bag of raw weed and get high. it won’t work.
that’s why it must be smoked or cooked. the water molecule has to be boiled off.
so you can’t just take the resin and form it into a pill. it has to be chemically processed first.
and it’s not just thc. there are dozens of psychoactive chemicals in the plant, thc and cbc , and many others. marinol doesn’t work the same as the plant. a pure thc pill wouldn’t either. but you can process the whole plant into pill form, with a lot of work.
it is possible, and awesome.
the best ways to ingest thc do not involve burning it. that’s overkill. cooking or vaporizing is the way to go.

I have a friend who was suffering from terrible nausea and losing weight daily when she was going through chemo. Her doctor suggested she find some pot as it would help. No med. weed in my state. She was in her early 50’s and had never smoked pot in her life but her son managed to find her some. It took away pain, nausea and she immediately began to gain weight again. It helped her tremendously but her one problem was finding it and morally she did not like asking her children to do something illegal for her.
So, absolutely I would support it. Sorry for the long story but this really helped her like nothing else did.

And while it scientifically has been show to have the EXACT same effects as weed, the test groups have complained that they have to wait about 30 minutes for the pill to be absorbed and the effects to be seen, so they say that weed is quicker and better.

ADDITION: The pill also has the benifit of not screwing up your lungs with Tar. Something doctors dealing with sick patients should be aware of, you may cure some problems, but leave them with other permanent side effects.
they already have it here…it’s called marinol…people on chemotherapy are nauseous and have a hard time swallowing and keeping down the pills…God bless cancer victims. They deserve any comfort they can get.
I support the full legalization of marijuana. The government is in our lives too much as it is. It is none of their business what people chose to do recreationally with a relatively harmless substance.

It only contains THC and none of the other offsetting chemicals that come with smoking actual marijuana.
But a bigger point: THE FEDERAL GOVT. HAS NO AUTHORITY TO BAN ANYTHING AT THE FEDERAL LEVEL WITHOUT A CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT.

But if it’s put into pill form and sold over the counter legally, why not just be allowed to grow it yourself and self medicate?
Once drug companies get a hold of making the drug, the price is going to skyrocket and companies that cover health bills will have another expense to cover.

No. There is no advantage for most to put THC in pill form. Use it in “nature’s” form. No reason for big government to get involved.
that’s the ideal use of it right there. People who really need THC get it and the stoners who jump on the bandwagon of deathly ill people to get a buzz get left out. I am for the pill against the weed. IF we can make the pill as effective as the weed.

We are using it for depression and other stuff already. I think it is the doses that may prove beneficial to cancer and aids patients.It is a classed three drug so it can be used for many thing. Marinol is the drug.
