Can I save my pharmacy career from a marijuana paraphanalia charge?
Hello, I am from Hamillton County, Ohio and I have a big problem on my hands. I rescently got busted with a possession of marijuana paraphanlia charge. The only other charge that I’ve ever had was an underage possession of alcohol when I was 19 (I am now 21), which I plead guilty to. I successfully completed the diversion program, which they gave me with no problems. The only problem was that I never got a letter saying if that charge was ever dropped/expunged/ or whatever else they decided to do. I am in pre-pharmacy school and I’m afraid for my career because of this stupid new paraphanalia charge. Can i get the paraphanalia charge expunged or go into diversion again or have it dropped or anything to save my career? Please, any advise would be very helpful.
Talk to a lawyer. People on here don’t necessarily know the law in your state, including me.

You have 2 strikes against you, 1 for alcohol and 1 for drug paraphernalia. The possession of alcohol you pleaded guilty and I am guessing the drug charge is still pending. Now you are pursuing a career where you could possibly be in possession or handling controlled drugs. You could get your degree, owe thousands in loans, but may never use it at all.
You need to talk to a criminal defense lawyer asap for your legal rights period. If a lawyer cant clean up your record, then I suggest you change career fields. Also another consideration is that any job you apply for that pays a decent income will most likely run a background check and with your record could be barred from employment.
good luck
