i hope not , i don’t want to be in the same university as a criminal
EDIT
whats with the thumbs down? I’m only giving my view and i’m sure alot of people would agree with me, pharmacy is no menial job-lives are at risk and people would not easily trust a person with a criminal record!
If you only are charged and not convicted see a criminal cases lawyer immediately. You need a private lawyer, not a public defender, even if you have to borrow the money. A good lawyer knows how to get the charge dismissed or reduced.
If you have been convicted and it was only an infraction, you should be able to get into pharmacy school. If it was a misdemeanor or felony, see a criminal cases lawyer and discuss whether it can be reduced to a lower level offense retroactively.
Most likely you can, but it depends on the school. They might do background checks.
In any case, you should stop smoking that stuff if you want to attend pharmacy school and get a job in that field, its a tough program and they make a big deal about being a professional. After all, you will be giving people their medications, they could die if you screw up.
Maybe, maybe not. There are a lot of factors that could affect the situation. How long ago was the charge? Were you an adult or a juvenile? Was there a conviction or adjudication? Can you get your record expunged? How understanding is your state pharmacy licensing board? How forgiving is the admissions committee of the pharmacy school? Are you still using or would you fail a drug test?
Talk to your attorney about what, if anything, you could do to get your record expunged.
You might be able to find someone in Narcotics Anonymous who could let you know what your state’s attitude is towards health care professionals who used to use but are now clean. If you aren’t clean, NA can help you quit using.
