Of course they can. Cops are people too. Your rights as a citizen aren’t restricted because of your occupation. Cops just cannot be under the influence of medical marijuana in any way whatsoever while they are on the job. THAT’S the kicker.
So it’s probably so impractical, it’s not likely to happen.
Yes, when not on duty & not within a certain amount of hours of being on duty. Same rules apply to any narcotic prescription drug.
