Can an adolescent get a medical marijuana card in California with the co-signature of their legal guardian?

Yes. Parents or authorized caregivers must accompany people under 18 to the doctor and dispensaries. Some doctors refuse to prescribe it to people under the age of 18 or 21–it’s at their discretion. California doesn’t require doctors to report who they give prescriptions to, so it’s between the parents, kids and doctors. The other states who allow medical marijuana specify a list of diseases like cancer and AIDS, but California doesn’t.
