Actually it’s a great topic of debate you pose. Here is how I put it.
That hose is not rust-proof. It will eventually rust inside.
You can wash it but it will reduce it’s life significantly depending on how often you wash it. Average life span of these hoses: 1 Year. If you are smoking it on that pumpkin: 6 Months. Water will splash into the hose like crazy keeping it super moist and rusting extremely fast.
I would advise against it. For hoses like that i would use an air compressor to clean it out. Otherwise leave it alone.
If you want to be able to do it buy a washable/rust-proof hose like the Nammor
