California Proposition 19?
So by now im sure some of you have heard of this law trying to get passed in california that allows the possession, cultivation, and personal use of marijuana to people 21 or older. I was wondering if you guys had any further information on the advancement of said law. Also, if this does pass, when do you guys think this law will diffuse to other states? Could this be the break cannabis users have been waiting for?
god I fuckin hope so
This would be a huge step in the right direction. I sincerely hope it’s passed. I live in Texas, so there’s probably no hope of seeing a similar progression here in the near future, but let’s hope Cali starts a new trend as they always do. Go Cali!
voting to pass seems to be leading in the polls at 50%yes to 40%no and ~11%undecided
…. for some reason the polls never add up to 100%
There’s no more information. There are field polls, but those can never be perfectly accurate because of the problems with polling – for instance, they usually do not include people who only use cell phones. We won’t know the status of the proposition until the voting polls close in November.
It could be a big break for marijuana growers and users. I can also see how it could result in a big court battle, because it contradicts federal law and DEA regulations. Hard to say what all will happen, so all we can do is wait and see.
