The IRS will require all retailers and non-profits to scan identification or face audits.
It will affect auto insurance rates, workplace drug testing and credit ratings because all that information would no longer be private once you swipe that ID card.

@SirWinstonChurchill How are you so sure that the retailers are going to scan your driver’s license when buying marijuana? You make it sound like driver’s licenses act as credit cards. When I buy beer all they do is look at my ID to make sure that I’m over 21 and that the license isn’t fake.

1 .You buy your marijuana at a state sanctioned, state licensed, state approved retailer.
2. They scan your driver’s license.
3. Your auto insurance carrier sends you the bill for the new $500.00 a month liability rider. Your employer’s worker’s compensation liability policy requires new drug testing provisions. The sheriff is notified by the ATF your firearm permit is no longer within federal guidelines.
Sound easy, safe and efficient enough for you?
@shenmue15654 you walk down any main street and you will see a alcohol dealer, they are in what is called a liquor store. You go higher up the chain and you have liquor makers, with names like molson, coors, budweiser and so on. Pretend for a second weed is legal, instead of seeing liquor stores, most of those stores will now be weed shops, put money that most of those store owners, managers or what ever position they hold, would most likely have been a real dealer from before it was legalized.

This is a fairly dumb argument. For one kids do buy alchohol, they just don’t go to the store to get it, they get someone else to do it for them. Second What makes people think that just because they tax it and make people show ID’s that kids can’t just go and do exactly what they did the commercial. If theres an age limit on it, and kids still can’t (but want to) buy it, then it doesn’t eliminate dealers, because the kids will just go to them.
