Last election, Oregon had a state wide ballot on legalizing marijuana, it was voted down by a land slide.
Oregon chose to stay with their medical marijuana cards. Anyone of any age can get a user and grower card for any medical condition, including things like stress from having to do your home work.
Paying a doctor to fill out the forms gives marijuana use the appearance of being a necessity, not just a bunch of dopers living in Oregon.
I think you mean decriminalization.
At any rate, I’m for locking up addicts and dealers of weed.
I’ll gladly pay more in taxes to build bigger and better prisons to house them.
I don’t recognize a right to be stoned.
I live in Oregon, and believe me, we LOVE the nanny state-sponsored “medical marijuana” system here.
Its pretty corrupt. Our DHS system is so simple and convenient, the rate of growth for illegal hispanic immigrants has TRIPLED since ’01!
So, yes, the legalization proposition was shot down here, as it is far easier to obtain a grower’s card than anything else.
