Mickey Martin’s Standoff at Montel Williams Medical Marijuana Dispensary ~ 6/17/2011
This short clip depicts a standoff between T-Comp Consulting director Mickey Martin and Aundre Speciale, who runs a medical marijuana dispensary called Abatin Wellness Cooperative in Sacramento, CA. Abatin became the focal point of controversy in mid-June 2011, when former talk show host Montel Williams announced his partnership with the dispensary. At that time, a group of vendors and consultants came forward to claim that Abatin owed them thousands of dollars for their services. Martin, who says Abatin owes him over $20000, organized this public protest in front of the dispensary on June 17th, 2011. As this clip demonstrates, Martin expects nothing short of full payment from Abatin. Check out his “Cannabis Warrior” blog for updates: cannabiswarrior.com
Actually, your informatioon is false and misleading. ALL VENDORS (aka drug dealers) were offered to be paid. However, in compliance with Federal and State Laws, these “Vendors” are required to fill out an IRS 1099 for tax purposes. The outstanding vendors refused to fill out the tax forms, wanting instead to be paid in cash, so as to remain anonymous to the DEA. THAT IS THE REAL SITUATION HERE, NOT BEING OWED MONEY! Tell the truth!
How embarrassing for all of us patients that Mr. Martin here couldn’t handle his business like a professional. Protesting one of our own?! To what end? Your money? Really? If you’re a professional business person, behave so. It’s hard enough to get safe access to our medicine, must you make it even more difficult by inappropriate public behavior? This dispensary provides for patients, your problem is monetary and driven by your greed. Growers can be professional at the same time, try it.
