NY Harvest Festival & Freedom Fair 2009 Marijuana law reform, drug law reform, music, activism, – Damn Sam Productions was founded to raise money for pro-freedom activism in NY and beyond. The money that is raised at the Harvest Fest and through other Damn Sam ventures goes to fund several organizations in NY that focus on a variety of issues, mostly regarding the War on Drugs and its impact on our physical and social environments. Damn Sam was conceived in the early 1990s at the famous Arrowhead Ranch in Parksville, NY, primarily to raise money to support pro-freedom activism in NY and beyond; in particular regarding changing the hemp/marijuana laws. Past Damn Sam Events include HempSplash, AT40 (The 40th Anniversary of the Acid Tests – we did production and promotion with the Kesey family and others), the High Times WHEE festival, Spring Planting Festival, Rock Against Racism (SUNY New Paltz), Salvation Army Toy Drives, and many local concerts to support rallies and other political efforts from candidate campaigns to the NYC Pot Parade concert stage.
